01Who we are
MagaPrime Technologies Limited is a technology company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy matters at [email protected].
02Personal data we collect
We collect only the data we need:
- Enquiry data — your name, email address, area of interest and message when you submit a contact form.
- Communication data — the content of emails or calls you exchange with us.
- Technical data — basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) needed to operate and secure the website.
- Analytics data — if, and only if, you consent to analytics cookies, pseudonymous usage information collected through Google Analytics.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through this website.
03How we use your data and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and take steps you request before entering into a contract — lawful basis: performance of a contract / pre-contractual steps.
- To operate, maintain and secure our website — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe, reliable service.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it — lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations — lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
06International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside Kenya. Where this happens we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by the Data Protection Act, 2019, such as contractual protections or transfers to jurisdictions with adequate data protection laws.
07How long we keep data
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last interaction unless it becomes part of a client relationship, in which case it is retained for the duration of that relationship and as required by law. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. Analytics data is retained according to the settings described in our Cookie Policy.
08How we protect your data
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege principles — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
09Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to:
- Be informed of how your personal data is used.
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or misleading data.
- Request deletion of data that is no longer necessary or was unlawfully processed.
- Object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
- Request data portability where applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timelines required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at www.odpc.go.ke.
